Event Outlaw Night w/ The Waymores, Dead End Streets & Joe Zelek
Date April 27, 2019 - 8:00 pm
$7

A night of old time and new time outlaw country music with 3 phenomenal acts..
The Waymores – Comprised of Kira Annalise and Willie Heath Neal, The Waymores are the epitome of Acoustic Country Music: He was born in a cop car, lived in and out of foster care, and served in the Navy. She used to get stage fright until she was swept up by his charm and grit, started singing country songs, and never looked back. Now they’re writing songs from the road and bringing their intimate, fun, and quirky one-liner-jabs to venues across the country. The Waymores take what’s real about life and relationships and add music, jokes, and whiskey; it can be beautiful, it can be painful, it can get inappropriate, and it’s completely unrehearsed, unexpected, and dangerously wonderful. Their debut album, Weeds, is scheduled to be released in early 2019 on Chicken Ranch Records out of Austin, TX.

The Dead End Streets – Roots Rock/Americana band from Pittsburgh – Singer/songwriter Matt Aquiline began performing in Pittsburgh in the early ’90s and recorded his 1997 cd, Dice Roll, at Dave World in Ambridge, PA, backed by some of Pittsburgh’s best musicians including Whitey Cooper and Sam Klingensmith of Norman Nardini and the Tigers, Joe Marini of Jim Donovan and the Sun King Warriors and at least 1 Granati brother. He moved to DC to further other career pursuits, where he formed the band, Kid Goat, which performed in the DC area for ten years and recorded the 2009 cd, These People Aren’t You.
Kid Goat disbanded in 2013 and Aquiline returned to Pittsburgh to continue writing and performing his music in the town where it was formed.
To help bring his sound home, Aquiline enlisted veterans of the local scene Stefan Rodriguez (Bad Attitude, Full Circle Band, Electriflyers) on Bass, Neil Carr (Scene 14, RockHeart, Gringo Zydeco) on Lead Guitar and Vocals and Bill Maruca (Sandoz, The Pawnbrokers, TheCAUSE, Billy Price) on Keys, and the youthful talents of Evan Cvejkus on Drums and Heather Catley on Vocals and Guitar. Catley and other band members have also begun contributing their own stellar original material to Aquiline’s, adding even more dimension to a sound that already married folk, rock, blues, country and a little blue-eyed soul into an Americana sound that is pure Pittsburgh, with skill, authenticity and the kind of depth you develop surviving a few cold Winters.

Joe Zelek Band‘s Joe Zelek – Ohio Valley native Joe Zelek has spent the last decade chasing down songs from Rust Belt dive bars to the streets of Music City. Joe has appeared main stage at Jamboree In The Hills in Morristown, OH for over a decade where his song paying tribute to the legendary event became an anthem.
