“It’s a shame when good souls leave us. But, they leave behind alot of good too.” – Steve Hirt
This certainly more than applies to you.
Shirt said this almost exactly a month before he became a part of his own statement.
For years Stev, Shirt and I played pool and drank every night before our day jobs, roughly 2013-2015 (1/2). We were never late. Ever. Once….
It was always refreshing to be around someone so care free that it rubs off on you, making reasonably serious problems and stresses seem trite. Steve certainly had that effect on me, as I’m sure he did for a lot of you, and I want everyone that was close to him to take a few hours out of your day, come to his old stomping grounds, share some remarkable experiences you had with Him, and celebrate the way he lived. Even the day to day manner he lived in was a trip.
In short, let’s have a drink, put on some shitty movie/cartoons he was into, and recollect the experiences we’ve shared with this guy.
I Know there’s loads of you I don’t know, connected in different circles of his life. So, please spread the word to people that he was in close touch with.
If you can’t make it for some reason, post a picture and drop a line.
This is 2 years to the day of his brain aneurysm, and there’s no reason not to celebrate the amazing person he was.
